SEATTLE SHAMBLES

Everyone in the team Tee's off and you pick the best drive and then play your own ball from then until
the hole is finished. There is no limit as to who's drive you take. Two best Stableford scores per hole to
count.Men off the Whites, ladies off the Reds using full sloped handicaps. 3 balls will use the "ghost"
player format to compensate. If you don't know how this works just record all 3 players scores on every
hole and we will do the rest.

DUBAI

It is a team game with 4 players:-
On stroke index 1 to 6 only one players stableford score to count.

On stroke index 7 to 12 only two players stableford scores to count.
On stroke index 13 to 18 only three players stableford scores to count.
If you are a 3 ball record all your teams score and we will work out the rest

TRAFFIC LIGHTS GAME

The game is the 'Traffic Lights', which means we all play off the same Tees Red, Yellows and Whites!
It goes like this:-
It's a team game with teams of four and the two best stableford scores per hole to count.
If your team is a 3 ball, make a note of all your teams scores and I will compensate you at the end.
Sloped handicaps are to be taken from the yellow Tees, that is for both Men and Women.
On stroke Index holes 1-6 you all play off the red Tees
On stroke Index holes 7-12 you play off the yellow Tees
On stroke index holes 13-18 you play off the white Tees

PAR/BOGEY GAME

The game we are playing the par/bogey game. Men off the white tees and ladies off the reds.
Scoring is based on net pars, bogeys and birdies.
The scoring system is as follows:-
Any score better than par = +1
Any score worse than par = -1
Any score at per = 0
Best two to score on each hole e.g
Par plus birdie = +1
2 birdies = +2
2 bogeys (hopefully none of these) = -2
If you don't wish to add up all the +s and -s this will be done for you when you hand in your card.

YELLOW BALL GAME

Saturday is the Yellow Ball game where each team will be loaned 2 yellow balls.
One of the balls is to be used by each player on at least 3 holes. Remember to record this on your card!
If you lose one of the balls you can use the second one.
The scores with the yellow ball will count double. Best two stableford scores per hole to count.
If you return with the original two yellow balls an extra 10 points will be added to the score. If you return
with just one ball you can add an extra 5 points to your score. If you return with no yellowballs, sadly you
add nothing to your score.
3 balls will get 12.5% added to their score before any extra points are added from returning the yellow
ball(s).

BETTERBALL STABLEFORD

The game is a (Teams of four) Betterball Stableford.
The rules are fairly simple in that the two best stableford scores per hole count towards the team score.
For 3 balls record all 3 team members score per hole in the correct columns on the card and we will do
the rest.

MEDAL

This is the form of individual competition in which the player totals his score for each of the 18 holes
giving a gross score. Then the deduction of the sloped handicap after 18 holes gives a net score.

GHOST PLAYER

Used when there are only 3 players in a 4 ball team game.
Players to enter their names in the A, B and C sections. The ‘ghost’ player’s handicap is based on the
average of the three players combined sloped handicap (marked on the card in the ‘strokes received’
section).
E,g if there are two men playing off yellows, with sloped handicaps of 17 and 8 respectively and a lady off
the reds with a sloped handicap of 26 that would give a total of 51.The ‘ghost’ player would be deemed to
have a sloped handicap of 17 i.e. 51/3.
The ‘ghost’ player would be assumed to take the same number of shots as player A on holes 1, 4,7,10,13
and 16, as player B on holes 2,5 etc and player C on holes 3,6 etc.
For each hole the ‘ghost’ player’s stableford points should be calculated, based on the deemed handicap
and assumed shots taken.
If ,for any hole the stableford points are higher for the ‘ghost’ player than the other players (1, 2 or all of
them, depending on how many are to score on each hole), then the ‘ghost’ player’s points can be
included in the score column.

TEXAS SCRAMBLE

The format for Saturdays game is "Texas Scramble" where everyone drives and the best tee shot is
taken, then the next shot is taken by everyone from the best position and so on until the hole is finished.
For teams of 4, four drives per person are to be used and recorded on your team card. For teams of
3, four drives per person are to be used and recorded. If you are a team of 3 you are allowed one extra
putt per hole.
Put your score per hole on your scorecard, add them up and then subtract 10% of your combined sloped
handicap from the total, this will give you your net team score.
Teams of three need to take an average of their combined handicaps (add together and divide by 3) and
add this to the 3 sloped handicaps and then subtract 10% of this from your total to get your nett score.
(It sounds complicated so if your not sure, just enter your scores per hole and we will do the rest.
Please ensure that you put all your teams actual handicaps and sloped handicaps on the card.
Men will play off the White Tees and Ladies off the Red Tees.

DOUBLE JOKER

The format is Double Joker. Before you start each player nominates two holes as joker holes, which will
count double points. You can chose the same hole if you wish. By this I meant that two players may use
jokers on the same hole not one player using both jokers on the same hole. The scoring is best two
stableford scores on each hole. Men will play off the White Tees and Ladies off the Red Tees.
